Mount Olive Christian Fellowship

Church History
Vision: To win the lost, to engage in daily righteous living and through study of God's word to become ferverent witnesses for Jesus Christ.
Pastor Phillip Caldwell was given this vision last year when he wished to go on a fishing trip to Texas. Instead, the Lord told him to go to Idaho. Even the most devout Christians can be stubborn, as we learned with the story of Jonas, and Pastor Caldwell started on his way to Texas. During the trip, he became sick and had to turn back. He quit fighting God's will and went to Idaho. It was there, sitting, fishing quietly, that the Lord gave him the vision for Mount Olive. After the many, blessed renovations done to the church earlier this year, Mount Olive's vision was painted on the wall behind the pulpit, under the symbol of the person who's vision it truly was.

Official Song: "We've come this far by faith."

Indeed, Mount Olive has come far in its 13 years of existance, and only through faith and the blessings provided by the Lord. 13 years ago, when Mount Olive ws created, it was only a few members in the basement of people's houses. Even the beautiful chairs that the Pastor and associate ministers sit in were donated by another church. Now, the church that was started with so little has swelled to over 100 members, 5 associate ministers, 5 deacons, and a choir that is constantly growing-- and was blessed last Easter with new robes.

The choir, however, was not the only part of Mount Olive to get a new look recently; the church itself has gotten graduated, rising seating for the choir so that everyone may be seen (and there is no way for certain altos who enjoy hiding to do so!); there are now places for people to kneel at the pulpit's edge for prayer and communion if they so choose; the pulpit area has been brought forward and extra space has been provided for the musicians; and the adult Sunday School room has been beautified by lovely stencil work. All of this is complimented with a beautiful new wooden communion table inlaid with glass, which, in the glass, says "Do this in rememberance of me." And, in a way, it not only refers to communion, but also with admiring the beautiful renovations that have been done only through God's will... And the faith of his servants.

As Pastor Caldwell says...
"God is good.. All the time!"
